Here is where you learn a little more about me.
My goal here is to bring yoga to you, to build a community that is down-to-earth and focused on what it ‘feels’ like to make healthy choices, not just what it looks like.
Meet Dani
I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the benefits of yoga and the power of possibility when we simply show up…and make some moves!
My path into health and wellness began after my first pregnancy. As a new mom I was inspired to make healthy choices for myself and my family. We all love to eat and I enjoy cooking and baking, so I began to make healthy foods for our family, along with a supplement plan for me and my husband. For two years, I was successfully helping men and women with their individual health goals, and had become more physically active myself with running and power yoga.
I found power yoga at a brewery! I enjoyed taking an occasional class and eventually found my way into the studio. I fell in love with the opportunity yoga provided to build strength on and off my mat. In fall of 2019, I began my teacher training with Dancing Dogs Yoga, a yoga alliance certified school, through a local studio - Victory Power Yoga.
After the first weekend of training, I found out I was pregnant with baby #2. I was elated and also unsure of how my practice would change throughout my pregnancy. I was surrounded by supportive teachers and mentors who gave me space to do what I felt was right. I think so often yoga can become a “do what you see” but during my teacher training I had to “do what I felt” and that has become a large part of how I teach today.
In 2020, I graduated as a 200-hour registered yoga teacher (RYT-200), our second baby boy was born and I created Downdogs and Diapers, a program to support women in post-partum (or “4th trimester”) with mind and body wellness. I found value in teaching to small groups and in 2023, followed my heart to launch Downdogs with Dani.
My goal here is to bring yoga to you, to build a community that is down to earth and focused on what it ‘feels’ like to make healthy choices, not just what it looks like. I am so grateful for the opportunity to share the benefits of yoga and the power of possibility when we simply show up…and make some moves!
When I am not teaching or practicing yoga, I love to be outdoors - at the beach or exploring a new trail in the mountains with my family. I also love wine and good food, you already knew that though. My heart is happy you are here and reading through this, so thank you for showing up in this space. I hope to meet you on your mat.
